Rick Dean, RIP

LA (and, hell, the rest of the world) lost one of our great actors and people last week when Rick Dean, sadly, died. I had the honor of working with Rick on a short movie (the stills here are from that movie, "Honest Pete" with Rick and Gil Gayle) and a play and the enormous pleasure of seeing him in many other great performances. Rick was special. He is, and will continue to be, very missed.

Comments:
nice notes on the lamented late mister dean...what a fantastic voice & presence when he mustered his talents...a sweet vulnerable soul w/ his share of demons but what artist isn't beset w/ his own bevy of furies? kinda sad that corman sapped the lion's share of rd's screen energies but at least it's in the permanent record...for me rick's deep rich ravaged voice will always echo in the storehouse of favorite stage moments...sad, fond farewell...

Hey Kevin-

Thanks for the post...and I'll link to you ASAP.

Just watched Rick in "Stripteaser" last night...sad...and, yes, that incredible voice of Rick's...i'll miss writing for it, and him...

Charismatic, talented, sweet and someone who touched those around him with his charm and humor is way I would describe my friend Rick Dean.
I knew Rick for 25 years. We met in acting class in NY back in 1980. Rick was always the type of guy who would make you feel special. I was privledged to know him. I love him and I miss him.
